Class Descriptions
Open Sewing
Knowledge of your sewing machine is the only pre-requisite for this class. If you are able to wind a bobbin, thread your machine and adjust your stitches, let us show you the joys of sewing for yourself. Choose a basic pattern (clothing or home dec.) and we’ll walk you though the construction process. Now in addition to our Thursday open quilting we also have afternoon session on Mondays. Class runs in 4-week sessions. Cost $40.00 A&E
Hand Smocking
Pat will show you the hand smocking stitches to turn your smocking projects into a work of art. You must bring a smocking pattern to work on. Class runs for 4 weeks Cost $40.00 A
Open Quilting
Open quilting allows you to “Do your own project” You choose your pattern and Charlotte will teach you the easiest way to complete your project. Classes run in 6-week sssions. Cost $60.00 A&E
Mystery Quilt
It’s just how it sounds what you’re making is a mystery. Each month Sandra will give you the next clue in your mystery. Finish your work every month and the quilt will slowly be revealed. At the end of your journey she’ll show you how to finish this beautiful masterpiece. Class runs for 7 months. Cost $70.00 M&A
Machine Quilting
Learn the techniques to make your free motion quilting a thing of beauty. Charlotte will show a variety of techniques to bring your quilting to next level Class is 3hr long. Cost $10.00 M&A
Embroidery Club
This is a machine embroidery class. To attend the class you need a transfer device for your embroidery machine. (you need to get the design that we are doing on your machine) Check the store for the latest class sample. Class is an All Day workshop. Cost $25.00 (additional fees may apply for designs)
Block Of The Month
Block of the month is just as it sounds, each month you learn a new block and by the end of the 8-month journey you’ll have completed a masterpiece. The block of the month is great for those of you who can’t commit to a weekly class; this gives you some room to breath. This year we will be running two blocks of the month quilts. As soon as the samples are completed they will be on display in the store. Class runs for 8 months. Cost $80.00 M&A
Serging 101
Learn how to thread your serger, learn how to make the perfect rolled hem, learn how not to fear your serger. Date to be announced all day workshop Cost of the class is $35:00
Serging 202
Jan will show how to master your serger. How to-do a variety of techniques and using specialty threads the class is an all day workshop the cost of the class is $30:00 All Day
Bobbin Work
This class will walk you through the basics of bobbin work or stitching down under. We will explore thread and stitch selection, make sample charts, discover the magic and have fun, plus make a small practice project. Bonus! Embellishment techniques for your stitches using your machine. Class is an All Day workshop Cost of the class is $25:00
Adult hooded Jacket
This is the grown-ups version of the little hooded jacket we did in the spring. Nancy will show you how to quilt your fabric and construct this cozy fall coat you can wear anywhere. Class runs for 3 weeks cost $30.00 A&E
Technique for clothing construction using specialty feet
Pat will take you through the steps of clothing construction like you never seen before with the use of a wide variety of specialty feet create a child’s garment that will last the ages. (this class is a great accompaniment to the hand smocking class)

Flatlocking
Learn how to use this serger stitch to create deceptive ready to wear clothing. This application is found on high-end gym wear. Jan will walk you through this budding technique. Class is an All Day workshop. Cost $25.00
Oven Mitts
Come and join me in making a quick and easy present this simple oven mitt pattern can be make for any occasion. Class runs for 3hrs. Cost $10.00
Christmas Finishing Class
This block is 5 classes you can sign up for just one or tow of all five spaces fill quickly so don’t delay (please note: Monday sessions are only in the afternoon)

All of those year of collecting ribbons, yarns, and trims (oh my!) finally has a purpose. Let Jan show you the joys of couching. Class is an All Day workshop. Cost $25.00
